German Shorthaired Pointers (GSP) originated
in....yes, you guessed it, Germany and date back
to the 1800's. At maturity, German Shorthair
Pointers average 55 to 75 lbs. and 21 to 25 in.
in height. They vary in color from solid liver to
a combination of white, liver spotted and/or
liver roan. GSP's can also be black, black and
white, or black and ticked, although it is
uncommon. Their coat is short, dense and easy to
groom.
German
Shorthaired Pointers are always willing to
please, intelligent, agile, friendly, happy and
enjoy being with their family. They are faithful
and will be right by your side biking, jogging,
walking or watching TV and love every minute of
it.
As
with all of our breeds, they can get along with
just about everything and everybody, but it's
important to acclimate them to whatever they may
