Chilli our wonderful Vizsla is doing great. She is finished with all her shots and is growing by the day. Chilli just loves to roller blade and throw football and play soccer with all the kids, she is really keeping us in shape. Chilli even took a swim in the ocean in Oct., she is everything we wanted . Now that it is cold out Chilli loves to lay right in front of our wood burning stove. I have attached a picture of Chilli at 5 months. I hope you and your family and everyone on your farm a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year....Mike (Townsend, DE)

We would like to thank you so very much for such a wonderful experience with all of you and the "new addition to our family", Colby (the puppy)! He is such a pleasure. We had him completely house trained after 4 days in his new home. Not only is he adorable, but very smart! He already knows how to sit, and give us his paw, and loves his treats! We can't stop hugging and kissing him! His personality is exceptional. He's very affectionate, and eager to please. Everything you said he would be, he is, and more! He's been to the vet once since he's with us, and the vet couldn't believe what a beautiful pup he is, healthy, and said he had to come from an exceptional breeder. He is so right! You are the best, and we can't thank you enough for our new family member. We are considering a playmate for him he's so great! Thank you all so much! You are terrific!....Dale, Jesse, Nicolas and Colby S. (Elmsford, NY)

Well, the above family did decide to give Colby a playmate and this is what they wrote to us:

Thinking about all of you @ SSD, and thanking you for our 2 pups who are enjoying life at the San Marco Household!!!! Enjoy the picture! Thanks again!

Attached are some pictures and videos from our cell phone, today, of our Maggie and my daughter Danielle.  It seems that Maggie has found a new sport that she enjoys very much, swimming in our above ground pool.  This is the best exercise we have found for her, since running her is tough, in our city area. She just turned one year old on the 11th of July, and this pet has brought great enjoyment to our home.  My daughter and I are trying to talk my wife into getting a sister for her.  It may not be too hard, as Maggie has taken over all of our hearts. I hope that you can view the files, as I am new to this cell phone technology, via camera.  As I master the technology, I will send you better pictures. Thank you so much for a great dog....Robert (East Rutherford, NJ)

Well, it has been two weeks since we picked up our little girl.  We named her Tilloo, after an island we stay on every year down in the Bahamas.  She has been a wonderful addition to our lives.  It is amazing how quickly she has grown.  And as predicted, it only took her a few days to understand the concept of going outside to use the bathroom. She has been nearly accident free....she is full of energy and has an excellent appetite. She has been enjoying long walks and even tried swimming for the first time this past weekend. We want to thank all of you again for providing us with such a wonderful experience.  We hope you enjoy some of the pictures we attached and we will keep you up to date on all her developments. Give our best to Aussie and Jake, and thank them in whatever way you can for our precious baby....Michele & Nathan B. (Amherst, MA)

Hard to believe that three months has gone by.  However, we are satisfied with every moment. Michele and I just wanted to let you know that Southside Tilloo Cay, (her registered AKC name), is doing terrific.  She has continued to be a wonderful addition to our lives.  We will keep you posted over the winter months and perhaps even stop by for a quick visit.  Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as all of our friends & family do....Michele & Nathan B.     It is with great appreciation that we write you this letter. In July we purchased a puppy, Niki. Chalk another mark to your perfect matching record! Niki is a magnificent puppy. She has all the qualities we were looking for. We had spent a significant amount of time researching the breed. We thought that our other Vizsla, Lola was one of a kind. We were wrong! Niki has shown all the adorable, loving, playful, faithful, and rambunctious traits that set the breed apart. This was our first time purchasing a puppy. Lola is from the Humane Society and Taby is a retired racing greyhound. At first we were a little apprehensive about going all the way to Albany form Fort Lauderdale for a puppy. But everyone was so nice and honest and took their time to answer all of our questions that we knew we wanted to get our new family member from you. Our weekend getaway to Albany was wonderful. Your recommendations for accommodations were excellent. When it was time to pick up our little baby, we were very impressed with your facility and really enjoyed the time we spent with you. We cannot say enough wonderful things about you and would recommend South Side Dogs to anyone who is looking for a quality puppy that will be a valuable member of any family....Henry & Daniela B. (Ft. Lauderdale, Fl)

Well, it has been a while since we have given you an update on Niki. We are excited to tell you she has exceeded all of our expectations!!! She is so smart, fun, loving, intelligent, healthy, and so on. There is absolutely nothing negative that we can say, not only of the breed, but of Niki. She is almost 2 1/2 years old and still a playful "pup." We think she will be for a long time; which helps keep her older sister Lola (our Humane Society adopted Vizsla) in shape!!! These is no doubt in our minds that we will contact you again when we are ready to add another Vizsla to the family!!! We have included a picture for you to see her. You have no idea how much she enjoys the pool - even if no one goes in, she does....Henry & Daniela B. and Family (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

We purchased a  puppy from you in Aug. 2004 (she was from the July 4 litter).  Her name is Savannah.  She has been nothing but an absolute joy and we couldn't be happier that we decided on the Vizsla breed and Southside Dogs.  Her active, loving and friendly temperament was a perfect match for us.  We would love to get another Vizsla but have decided to wait until we get a bigger yard.  When we do,  we will definitely be coming back to Southside.  We recently had a baby and Savannah has been absolutely wonderful with him.  I am sending you some pictures of our perfect little Savannah.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed our first year with Savannah.  Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful    addition to our family....Shannon R. I am writing to you on this Thanksgiving to Thank you for my wonderful little boy, Rusty. He is a 5 month old Vizsla whom I purchased from you. This is my second dog from you, and I never thought any dog could steal my heart like my Jake. You see, I came to you for another companion. Every day that I awake, Jim and I look at our dog, and revel in the joy only a pet can give. Rusty is like no other. We are thankful for every moment spent with him. At 8 weeks he was house trained. At 12 weeks, he knew the basic commands. At 4 months, he is boundary trained within our large yard, he is fetching and retrieving on command, as well as giving high 5's when he is praised for his manners. Rusty has become a large part of our lives. He wakes up every morning! with bouncing energy that is filled with love, and unconditional desires to make us happy. The funny part is, we wanted Rusty to make us happy. We have a four wheelin' dog, a dog that steers the riding lawn mower, while cutting grass with us, and a dog who is so smart, he knows which car is the Adventure automobile just for him. His behavior in the woods, or in town have won much admiration. Everyone notices how uniquely happy Rusty is. I cried tears of happiness the day I left with Rusty, from the home he knew with you. I still cry knowing you have managed to give me such a wonderful gift to nurture, love and enjoy for many years to come. For the second time in my life, you have made me a very happy person. Giving Jim and me the chance to raise another one of your pups, is just what my broken heart needed. My hope would be that everyone remembers to continually feel the daily blessings a pet has to offer, and that we each take the time to give that extra thanks to you for the job you have become so proficient at doing. My "little baby" is growing into quite the young, dapper man. You have made my world a very special place....Jayme, Jim & Rusty K. (North Berwick, ME)

How are you? I thought I should write and give you an update of how I am doing. You could have not picked a better family for me. The Henneys just love me so much. Their two daughters treat me like a little baby. Every other Saturday they have a trainer come to our house for an hour to teach me how to behave. I look at it as another opportunity to get treats. I do listen and I am improving. Frank, you would be proud of me. When they take me for a walk everyone who meets me says I am beautiful. I just wag my tail and act like I never heard that before. Ridgebacks are so beautiful. They feed me Sensible Choice just like you suggested. My last trip to the vet I weighed almost 50 pounds and I am now five months old. Tell my mom and dad that I miss them but I am loving life here in Rockford, Michigan. Tell mom that I sleep alot and am nice to other dogs. Tell dad that I look a lot like him and that I can run really fast. I love to play with my soccer ball and when Chet is working in his woodshop I hang around and he calls me his shop dog. He takes me for rides in his van everyday. Mrs. Henney loves me too and she smells really nice. I like to follow her around and she says that she can't get anything done. I can't help that I just love hanging out with my new family. I sent a picture of me lying in Mrs. Henney's chaise lounge. At first I was not allowed to touch it but I kept jumping on it until they gave in. They love me. Have a Merry Christmas and thanks again for choosing the Henneys for me. Tell everyone at South Side Dogs that I said "Hi" and that Elwood is doing great. Love,....Elwood Henney (the puppy) (Rockford, MI)

Our Casper is now 2 years old and she remains the most amazing gentle mischievous pet we have ever had.  Every where we go people want to know where we got her!!!!!!  She is a crowd pleaser and stopper! Since we got her I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  Casper just seems to know to help me up stairs and pick up things I drop.  Allyson and Niko love her and she is such a comic.  I cannot thank you enough for your wonderful dog and my vet never fails to ask where I got her because she is so healthy, beautiful and well behaved. Thanks again...we love her!!!  When are you going to have more weims? Attached is the most recent picture of Casper with the Kids and by herself Southside Chicago Lady Casper. Thanks again.  The trip from Boston was well worth our Casper. Merry Christmas Happy New year....Ronnie, Allyson & Nikko (Boston, MA)

Frank, my father-in-law and I are from Michigan and we purchased two male Vizslas from you last winter and we are coming up on their first birthday. I wanted to let you know how happy we are with both dogs.  I use to take mine jogging with me but people would stop me wanting to know the breed and the breeder.  Rocco is becoming a very good hunter.  We spent a week out in Iowa pheasant hunting and we’ve been out several times since we've been back.  I’ve attached a picture of Rocco on one of his many points. Unfortunately the camera distracted him a little bit but it’s still a wonderful picture. I will be contacting you within the next year or two for a second Vizsla.  My hunting buddy, who had 2 Vizslas from a local breeder, didn’t understand why I went all the way to New York for my dog until I brought him back.  There’s no comparison between your dogs and the other breeder. Thanks....Tom H. (, MI)

We just wanted to write again to update you about our Holly. She turned 1 in October and enjoyed her second Christmas with us. We always called her the clown of the house because she loves to play and make us laugh. Growing up, she was always a watchdog but she would bark from the safety of the bedroom. We recently had a baby, who is now 2 months, and she has become the most amazing watchdog. She immediately runs to the door and has a scary bark to people who do not know what a mush she really is. She alerts us when the baby is crying and she loves to try to "kiss" the baby. The other day, she heard a baby cry on t.v. and ran over to it! We have noticed that she does miss the attention that she had everyday but she does not mind when it comes to watching over the baby. She has become a surrogate mom! We can't wait for the day when our daughter Kate can play with Holly. She point! s like crazy and the other day, she stopped playing in the yard to point at a hawk! She has never gone hunting but she loves to sniff out anything including her favorite ball. She follows us from room to room and always sleeps by our side. We always talk about how amazing your stables are and how fantastic you were at picking the perfect dog for us. The other night we watched the dog show (of course Holly did too!) and we can see that she is show quality. We have never seen a Vizsla more beautiful than our Holly! Thanks again so much and here are some pics!....Liane C. (Holbrook, NY)

Just wanted to touch base with you to say Hello and give you an update on our little girl. We have named her Kaycee as her everyday name. We are still working on what the AKC registered name will be but have a couple of ideas in mind. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before we can settle on that name. We did receive her AKC registration papers from you in the mail too. In the meantime, Kaycee is growing fast and she is just beautiful. She's very smart and I've got her all house trained now. She is so affectionate and Allan and I both adore her!! She's been to our veterinarian a couple of times now since we got her back home to Michigan and she is all up to date now on her puppy vaccinations, worming, and we've also had her micro-chipped. Our doctor gave her a complete checkup as well and also thinks she is gorgeous. I Kaycee scheduled to be spayed on Feb. 23. Kaycee and our Lucky have become inseparable! Lucky was a bit standoffish with her at first, as we expected he would be. He was never aggressive with her, he just didn't want her to come near him. But he got over that fairly quick, (probably about 7-10 days), and soon realized that he now has a constant companion and playmate. Now they are wonderful together and Kaycee has literally become Lucky's shadow. Lucky even showed signs of being her 'protector' one day. Allan was standing outside one day in our driveway talking to one of our neighbors and when I went outside to join him I took Kaycee & Lucky with me. Our neighbor had his dog with him and the neighbors dog promptly went over to Kaycee to check her out. Lucky immediately got between the other dog and Kaycee and then proceeded to continue blocking the other dog from access to Kaycee.
Well, I just wanted to give you an update on Kaycee. I've attached a picture of Kaycee & Lucky on the deck at the back of our house. This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago when we were having a little meltdown of snow and the deck was actually clear.
Take Care! Regards...

We brought home one of your Viszla puppies in January, and I thought you would like to see how our little girl Zoe is growing up. Besides being beautiful, she has a wonderful personality. Everyone who meets her thinks she is the best puppy in the world! We started socializing Zoe right away with lots of people and other dogs, so she is very friendly. Her best friend is a Borzoi named Sadie, who is twice Zoe’s size! They love to run together off-leash on a trail near our house. Zoe also loves to get in the car and go places with us. Sometimes my husband takes her to the office where she entertains everyone. Zoe was housebroken in just a few days and never peed in the house once. In fact after only about 8 weeks we found we didn’t have to crate her when we left her in the house. She is very smart!

Well, Abigail is about 8 months old now. Still giving us a run for our money, but we love her just the same. She is up to about 45 pounds now and every ounce of that is full of running and jumping and riding in the car with her head out the sunroof. She loves going to the bank every Saturday - every teller that walks by the drive through gives her a treat, so she gets very spoiled come bank day. She is very good with people and other animals and we get wonderful comments about her all the time. "Her color is so pretty", "What kind of dog is she?" We couldn't be happier with her. Thanks, again.....Dave, Betsy and Abi H. (South Windsor, CT)

It has been 8 weeks since we picked up "Tazo" our puppy. All I can say is that it's a pleasure having our new family member. He's ready to please and extremely smart. He was house broken in 9 days, WOW! I feel as if you read my mind. You gave me a dog with every thing I was looking for, good looks, calm and great personality. Thank you so much. I live in North Jersey the drive to you was 3 hrs long. To be honest with you, I would be willing to drive 30 hrs for the dog I received from South Side Dogs. Your establishment was so clean and everyone was very nice and helpful.
Thank you again! Jake P. (Ringwood, N.J.)

Izzy is doing wonderful!! He is a complete love bug and loves to be kissed to death! He wakes up in the morning (after sleeping with us - comfy cozy) and goes to the door to hit the bell with his nose to let us know he needs to go out. After that he comes in and eats his royal canine
adult food (I can't believe he is 1 year old now!) and then if we are off to work he goes in his crate (his apartment is what the dog walkers call it) but if we are home then back to bed he goes until late morning. Between walks and playing with his toys throughout the day he is then
ready for dinner and bed! We are loving him and are working on the jumping up on people - he just wants to give hugs and kisses constantly! He knows sit and gives paw when asks. He also knows the commands of "leave it" and "drop it" when he has taken something that he shouldn't have! Oh yeah, he loves to watch T.V. and watches the Disney channel during the day when we are not home. Also when we are in bed he watches TV. Thanks

I felt an obligation to write this letter to sincerely thank Frank, Lisa and the entire staff of South Side Dogs. At the time of this letter our German shorthaired pointer, “Kava” is four months old. Frank promised that he would select the perfect puppy to match our family’s lifestyle and I’m pleased to say that he far exceeding our expectations. Kava is the most handsome Shorthair that you have ever seen. He has the proudest walk and perfect body lines. Every time we take him for a walk or to the pet store people ogle over him. His solid black color and distinct body draw attention every where we go. Our veterinarian and his staff call Kava their “Black Beauty”.
Kava has never littered indoors and from the first week we had him, he has let us know when he needs to go outside. He is a happy and energetic puppy and he has a great personality that you just fall in love with. He is extremely bright and eager to learn and please us. I belong to a sportsmen’s club in Connecticut, I started to field train Kava at 9 weeks old and he has progressed into an extremely good sporting dog already. He has a great nose and loves to work in the field. He holds point without any check cords or other restraints. Many other members of my club asked to accompany me during our training exercise to witness the 16 week old pup working birds like an old seasoned veteran. Kava has become a local legend already. My family and I could not be happier with our choice to purchase a puppy from the fine folks at South Side Dogs. Thank you so much for doing what you do.

We cannot thank you enough for the beautiful Vizslas we have gotten from South Side.  We picked Sable up in October 2004, and everyone fell in love with her immediately!  In January 2005 we were back to pick up her little (half) sister, Shelby, for my parents.   There was an instant Chemistry-they snuggled all the way home from New York, and they have been inseparable ever since!  Sable took Shelby under her wing and took care of her, showing her the ropes!   The girls still love to swim and play at the lake here in Pennsylvania, or in the ocean in Florida-In the woods and fields in warm weather, or in the snow!  Of Course, a warm bath followed by a nap in front of the fireplace are a great end to a long walk or swim.  They are amazing hunters-Sable even helped to rid our house of a flying squirrel that snuck in very early one morning!  They love to play, snuggle, and even like playing "dress up" with our niece!
Both Sable and Shelby have been such a wonderful addition to our family, we truly don't know what we would do without them.  They draw such positive attention everywhere they go!  We receive so many compliments on how well behaved and how beautiful they are, and everyone wants to know what we feed them to make their coats to shiny!  Royal Canin, of course!  As you can see, they have grown into truly beautiful young ladies, and are still extremely photogenic. We look forward to logging on to your website a few times a week to see new pictures of the beautiful offspring from South Side!  We have so many beautiful pictures, that we hope you will find one or two to share!  We truly coulld not be happier with our pups....Jason and Shea W. & Jeff and Michele H. Hey guys, this is a long overdue email back to Baron's home...It's his mommy and daddy writing (Katja and Russell from Brooklyn, NY). Baron is the most wonderful thing that could have happened to us. He is doing fantastic (Will also include a few shots of him to let you know how big he's gotten). From the first minute he got to the house we knew he would be a handful - and a few chewed up pumps and especially daddy's sneakers later, we still have so much love for him that I think he must be sick of us. He is in great shape, the most social dog I ever did see. He needs to hug and kiss every dog we meet on the way to the park; loves to roll around on the grass and carpet and sometimes in things that do not smell very pleasant (I just gave him a bath because of that...) and is a little devil at times. But overall, you just got to love him when he looks at you with his blue eyes (surprisingly , they still have a pale blue hint in them) He is much of a traveler already having seen Germany and enjoying the snow in the Tirolean Alps... He's not much of a summer Weimie....We just want to say thank you again for the loving start he got in your impeccable stables and for allowing us to have him in our daily live. He definitely is a blessing (sometimes more than others). Thanks again and much love from Brooklyn, NY. Katja and Russell (Brooklyn, NY)

Hi Frank, Diane and Southside Staff, We wanted to let you know how our 15 week old Ridgeback is doing. Hunter (the puppy) is now 36 lbs. He grows bigger with each nap he takes. What a sweet disposition. He is very smart. in the last six weeks we have mastered quite a few commands. Sit, stay, down, paw, heal, no, off, and he is housebroken ( unless we make a mistake understanding his signals). We had a private trainer work with us for the last four weeks, still two more to go and he is doing outstanding. He starts puppy kindergarten on Thursday for an additional six weeks. I can now take him with me for a three mile walk in the morning being that he has had most of his shots. He loves it and looks forward to it. he is great with my customers and they all love him. He has the most beautiful face with his black nose and ears, his markings on his chest look just like his father Duke. he is gorgeous. I cannot stop kissing him. My kids love him and can't get enough of him. He is very spoiled with love. I find the hardest thing is the competition between him and my Shitzu. they really love each other but they both want all the attention. So we are working on that. We have people stopping us in the street because he is such a prince. He has a very proud way about him. Sticking his chest out looking like a very focused and well behaved dog. We call him our baby. Thank you so much for picking out the perfect Ridgeback for our family. we also want you to know that your establishment is most impressive. I will send you a picture of Hunter. Thanks again....Charlie & Kathy C. & Family. (Long Island, NY)

Dear Frank, Hello, I just wanted to give you an update on "Jack"  the 10 month. old GSP formerly known as Trevor.  We adopted him from you about three weeks ago, as you know.  We couldn't ask for a better dog - he fit right in with the family as soon as we brought him home.  Everybody comments on what a beautiful dog he is.  He is very intelligent and learns things quickly, he listens very well (most of the time!), and is great with all the family, neighborhood kids, dogs etc.  He loves cats but they are not real fond of him!  The kids walk him each day, and take him to the ball field to run each day as well, then I take him jogging with me each evening, so he is getting plenty of exercise - and loving every minute of it!  I have also started some field training with him as well.  We have been working with some Pheasant dummies, he learned to retrieve perfectly to hand in about 2 days, and he has a great nose, he always finds the dummy quickly no matter where I hide it. On behalf of my family, I would just like to thank you Frank for keeping your word, and holding on to Jack for us until we returned from vacation, as you promised you would.  I know you probably could have gotten more money for him, and I was impressed by the fact that you were more concerned with finding Jack a good home. We will send pictures soon.  Thanks again Frank for everything - we'll keep you posted....Allen & Jill M. & Kids

Sorry it has taken me so long to write back to you. I have been working and traveling a ton. Getting moved backed to Tennessee turned into an ordeal. Had to paint my apartment in Oklahoma and spilt paint all over the bed and floor. Then on the way home I got a ticket driving a Uhaul. So then when I got home I had to paint my room and move all the supplies from
the far end of the school to my room. And since then I've just been teaching and coaching all day. Which I like. Gunner by the way has been the best dog. Him and Hopper are like peas in a pod; they play all day and they love the woods. He has gotten a lot redder in his coat. He is gorgeous. He is such a big sweety. He weighs 44lbs know and seems to get bigger everyday; smart little guy too. I can take him everywhere without his leash now; he just follows right behind me. I usually take him to the school football field and throw a tennis ball for the boys. Its funny to watch because Gunner is tall enough that Hopper can cut right under his legs and not touch him. Here are some pictures me and Cody took the boys to the Ocoee river.
There we walked to Chilhowee Mountain and went to the waterfall. The boys love the water. Thank you for everything, I will mail you some pictures for your website if you will give me the address you would like me to send it to. For now though I hope you like the attached pictures. Thank you for everything; having him and hopper to come home to makes my day! Thank you again....Rusty

Here are a pictures of our pup from Hungary - Lela. 6 months old in the pics. As I took her out early on to socialize and meet people everyone was always impressed at home calm she was. She has her puppy moments and zoomies of course but really has a fabulous demeanor. Recently I've taught her to play ball. By that I mean - catches the ball on the bounce of 1 - 2 or 3 bounces when I give a hand signal and verbal command. Its a riot. She loves swimming and enjoys our lake home. Lela is doing very well. We picked up Achilles from you in early  June 06 and its hard to tell you how happy we are with him!   He is extremely friendly and playful. My 7 year old son rolls over him all day and Achilles never gets tired of it. Your stable was so clean I figured you must be very particular with your breeding also. Turns out I was right .I cant walk through town without getting stopped a few times with people raving about how cute Achilles is. He is now part of our family and I would recommend you to anyone who is looking for a Viszla....Richard (N.Halendon, NJ)

Hi Frank, Just wanted to give you an update on Mollie's progress. We couldn't be happier. She is a great house pet and an excellent hunter!! This is a picture of Mollie at 5 months old with myself and my son Sean. So far Mollie has at least 20 pheasants shot over her, I almost cried in the field with her first point, what an excellent sight for anyone to see. Her points are solid as a rock and her obedience comes with out saying. You couldn't have been more right when you told me you have the best German Shorthairs! I will try to keep you posted and send more pictures. Thanks Again....Dave and Family (Rochester, NY)

Hey there, We thought we should drop you a line to show you how cute our little boy looked dressed up as Woody (from Toy Story) on Halloween. He continues to have an amazing temperament and is working on turning 2 in February (time flies when your having fun!) We think about getting another from you everyday and maybe someday that will come true - although Izzy thinks that he is king of the house!! Thanks again for a GREAT dog and we love him to bits! Lynn, Jesse and Izzy

Well, Izzy is just WONDERFUL and will be 3 in February (wow-how time flies!) Frank, I was on your site yesterday and saw that you had a litter of puppies - it was sooooo tempting, but we have such a good thing going with Izzy!! As you can see he is dressed up as a little devil for Halloween - he is such a devil but yet such an AWESOME dog. There isn't anywhere we go that people aren't asking to pet him. We just went up to Burlington, Vermont this weekend and a professional photographer asked to take his picture and then at another place there were tourists who wanted to take a picture with him! Who knew he would be such a tourist attraction! Anyway, he continues to be great with kids and other dogs and he just loves to snuggle, snuggle, snuggle. With love, Jesse and Lynn....

We lost our dog in January. Our house was so empty without the joy a brings to a home. We were looking at getting a Vizsla or Weimaraner. After talking to Frank, he made us feel better all the way around. He talked with us in length, and through his advice decided a Vizsla would be the dog for us. He was definitely right. In June we went and picked up our little girl, the only female from the litter  of Honey and Hugo. She is a beauty as you can see from her picture. She was basically potty trained as soon as she came home. We have never had to puppy proof the house, She just knows what she can play with, and what she cannot. After six months, she does not use her crate; I truly believe she could have been out of it sooner. I can go to work, and not worry about anything being destroyed. Everybody loves her. We have taken her with us to as many places as we can. People always want to pet and play with her. She loves people, and people love her. She is going to obedience school with the hopes of her moving onto agility. She passed puppy classes, and is now in beginner obedience. She has to pass that and the novice class before she can move onto agility. In the puppy classes her teacher feels she is a natural. They are encouraging us to her involved with agility, She loved doing it in the puppy classes. Kaycee is truly the most loving and affectionate dog. She is a pleasure to have in our home. She brings such joy and happiness, She is also so funny. She has a great personality. We would recommend Southside Dogs to anyone looking for an outstanding puppy. We were very impressed with how clean and the overall condition of your facility. We were delighted to meet Kaycee's mom, Honey and interact with her. You truly have done an outstanding job in every way to make adding a puppy to our home a pleasure. Thank you for such a sweet loving pet....Sue & Walt P. (North Tonawanda, NY)

I wanted to write and tell you how happy I am to have my Vizsla, he is all I dreamed of and better.  He has been really easy to train and has a wonderful personality.  He has come with me several times to may job ( I am a social worker/ therapist in a special education program).  He has already helped me working with my kids and participated in a fundraiser for the homeless. When he is a year and can be certified, I hope to be able to bring him to work on a consistent basis....Wendy. (Alexandria, VA)

We hope all of you at Southside are enjoying the holiday season! We just wanted to send a quick note that Maddux has earned his first obedience title at the age of two. On Dec 1st he completed his Rally Novice title in three shows, with scores of 87 in the first two and 81 in the last show. He is extremely smart and very loving so I know he will do well when he moves to advanced.  We plan on showing Racer this spring and we hope to have him titled before he turns two.  Again we cannot tell you how much we love our boys and we are thankful to have had the opportunity to work with the wonderful staff at Southside. Now if I could only convince my husband that we need a third! Have a Happy Holiday!...Denese Koza

When we visited Southside in September of 2006, my grandchildren ( Vinnie, Jen, Taylor, Dominique ) and myself were very impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of your facility. While we were there, we viewed all the stalls with the different types of dogs and once again were very impressed. Soon thereafter we were introduced to the the trainer who brought us our baby Vizsla. Lisa was very helpful in explaining what to do with the little puppy, and she even gave us a quick lesson on how to train the puppy if he needed to go outside. Lisa told us to show Cooper where the back door is, and he will know that is where to go.  Within 2 days Cooper was doing just that. Although only 5 months old, I am enjoying him so much everyday. He has already brought so much companionship to me. He is an excellent listener, very very smart, and truly a best friend to me. Everywhere I bring him, people are so in awe of how beautiful he is. My seven grandchildren adore him so much. He is very playful with all of them, and the smiles he puts on their faces is priceless. Thanks so much for putting Cooper into all of our lives.....Vinnie Cuccia. (Nyack, NY)

Here are some pics of my baby Kahlua this past summer. They're her 'baby' pictures as she has grown since then. When I download her more recent photos to my laptop, I will email them to you. But honestly, Kahlua is the perfect Vizsla, her eyes, her body, her face, her color. We love her tremendously! Enjoy. Natalie (Washingtonville, NY)

My husband and I and our two daughters bought our Vizsla from you. he was born on April 11 2006 and we picked him up from you on June 3rd. We love him sooooo much he is the best. I am sending along pictures but before that I want to share a story that happened to us and we are very grateful we still have our puppy Cody. this last summer we went to my mothers in North Carolina and of course Cody loved the beach. we headed home on July 29, and on the New Jersey turnpike we were in a major car accident and our car flip over about 5 time, and the miracle is Cody our Vizsla was throw out the side front passenger window and he survived with a few cuts and some soft tissue damage to his eyes, but he has recovered from it all, and thankfully we are all OK. We are still amazed that he has survived that we have had him trained so he listens and we never have to worry about him running of and getting hit by a car, he is trained to wait at the door and he is also trained so we can take him off lead, he is so good that even when other dogs are around he doesn't leave our side. We'll just wanted to let you know he is very loved and is doing great. I am sorry to read about what happened to your dog, that must have been very hard. the new puppy looks like she is going to be great. Take care and will be in touch in the future....Cindy and Rob (Levittown, NY)

They are the best dogs ever, and we love them so much.  We knew from the moment we arrived at South Side and saw how well it was maintained, and how healthy all the dogs were, that we had found the right place.  As you probably know, we came to you for a Vizsla, but when we saw the German Shorthaired Pointers we fell in love with them too and had to have one.  We came very close to getting a Weimaraner too!  But three puppies at once...  Maggie and Gordon are best friends.  They play with each other all the time.  Great to watch them playing tug of war with the same toy, one getting the toy and bringing it to the other so that they can play.  Wonderful, healthy, happy dogs who have brought so much to our daily family life!  Thank you....Steve K. (Bedford, NY)

I am writing you to first and foremost say thank you for giving us the best dog in the world. I'm not sure if you remember us but we purchased Jake our Weimaraner puppy from you last September and you flipped a coin to decide weather we could take him or not. Let me say that that was the best "heads" call of our life. I'm glad to inform you that Jake Jr. has grown up to be the spitting image of his father. We have received so many compliments and his confirmation and great stature.   Thank you again for your time, patience and most of for Jake!....Casey & Maria (Arverne, NY)

I hope you liked the pictures my wife sent. Gol is doing great. All his vaccinations are up to date , he has been nurtured and a microchipped, he was up and running in no time after the procedure. He has so much energy that you could not believe, our kids love him. He is eating twice a day and he is housebroken. He likes to chew on things a lot so we have given him some toys suitable for his age and gums. We even taught him how to enter and exit the pool to avoid accidents. We look after him very much, he is the joy of our kids and ourselves. We feel very lucky for having him....Rodrigo (Weston, FL)

We picked up our Rhodesian Ridgeback, puppy of Gabby & Duke, in August 2006.  I'm sorry that I didn't keep in touch with you and send you pictures of Daven sooner.  He has absolutely made our family happy and complete.  Our daughter was born a month after we brought him home and he loves her to death.  He is constantly licking her and loves to lay on the couch with me while I feed her.  I think that sometimes he even gets a little jealous.  It is incredible how you can read his emotions thru his eyes.  You certainly picked the perfect puppy for our family, he is very loving, caring, smart and playful.  We couldn't imagine our lives without him!  I think that we have spoiled him just a little bit.  We hope to have the opportunity one day in the future to purchase a farm, and if that day ever comes we would definitely go back to you for a couple of more puppies.  Here are a few pictures of Daven when we picked him up last summer and of him now at 8 months.  I hope you enjoy them and we are enjoying him everyday. Take care and thanks again for helping us choose the right breed for our family....Kathy & Chris (Bushkill, PA)

I am really enjoying my new life as queen of the hill! Don't I look comfy? I am learning to sit, and take treats gently, and I potty outside a lot! If my mom and dad remember my routine. There is so much room to run around and I have lots of toys to play with. Thanks for telling my mom about he bacon bit treats. I will do just about anything to get a bit of them!!! My favorite thing of all is this chair that I like to cuddle in, though. My mom and especially my dad snuggles me in it and I fall asleep. I met my new grandma and she like to play with me, too.
I met a doggie friend that is a Cocker spaniel, an 8 month old dog, and I had fun playing with her, until she jumped onto her mom's lap. I heard the big people say she was getting what she used to dish out to her brothers ....... what does that mean? Are my siblings in new homes, too? I hope so because I want them to be loved as much as I am....Picha, the Vizsla, W. (Norwich, NY)

Hope you are doing well.  Wanted to give you an update on my 2 Vizslas that I bought from Southside Dogs.  The first one, Killian we picked up in June of 2006.  We instantly fell in love with his spirit. He is very loving and energetic and has a very funny sense of humor.   He is a little smaller than normal Vizslas but is so regal and striking that everyone comments on how beautiful he is.  He has a very gentle personality and is always eager to please.  We instantly knew that we wanted a second Vizsla and picked up Murphy in January of 2007.  At first Killian wasn't sure what to make of the new puppy, but it didn't take long for them to become buddies. Murphy has been a very different puppy from Killian, he is pretty lazy and loves to cuddle, he is extremely content just laying next to you and playing with his brother.  They compliment eachother very well.  Killian is the show off one who wants to please you and make you laugh, and Murphy is the one who wants to snuggle and isn't as energetic.  Also, Murphy has outgrown his brother and he is only 6 months old!  We couldn't be happier with the two dogs and the breed.  Thank you for all of your help with this process, we are first time dog owners and are hooked for life.  I have attached a picture that we took a few months after we got Murphy, I am sure you will enjoy!...Rainette and Dave (Providence, RI)

One Year Later....

Hi Frank,
I hope you had a wonderful New Year.  Wanted to give you and update on our Vizslas Killian and Murphy and send you some updated pictures if you want to add them to our testimonial. I told you I would keep you posted and Murphy is a little over a year old and weighs 67lbs! His big brother Killian is only 46lbs! Killian and Murphy are very attached and hate to be away from one another. They have very different personalities but compliment each other well. I have to say, I do not regret getting another Vizsla.  Having two dogs is truly better than having one.  The companionship they get from one another is so worth it....Rainette and Dave (Providence, RI)
